There are a high number of microorganisms present in poultry. Infected hens have the ability to serve as both a vertical and horizontal source of disease transmission. Salmonellosis is widely recognized as one of the most prevalent food-borne infections. It is possible to get an infection from animals through either direct or indirect contact. Salmonellosis outbreaks were responsible for a portion of the reported cases in the United States, and numerous laboratories have confirmed human cases of Salmonella infection due to outbreaks. Because of the widespread propagation of antibiotic resistance genes, multidrug-resistant bacteria have become a global health crisis in recent years. This has contributed to a worsening of the problem. This article focuses on a variety of measures that can be employed to prevent or control Salmonellosis, including both traditional and new approaches.
